Plus, your responses could be featured in the next newsletter!

At SheSpeaks, we've been inspired by so many women, both those we know personally and those we've never met. Here are just a few of them:

My Mom

The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou

J.K. Rowling

Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie

My Grandmother

She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa

My Mom's Group

When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan

Serena Williams

Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all.  - Carol

What women have inspired you? Tell us and you'll be entered to win a a $100 gift card to Amazon, Walmart or Spafinder - winner's choice!

My mother inspired me. By the age of 21 she had 3 small children. She vwas abandoned by my father before the birth of her 3rd child. This all occurred in the early 1960's, when divorce was rare & a working single woman even rarer. She had always dreamed of being a nurse & she pursued that dream while bearing the heartaches & shame she was experiencing. She worked & put herself through nursing school & graduated with honors. She went on to raise us 3 & instill in us her strength & determination to never give up on our dreams, no matter how impossible it may seem.

My Mom was such a big influence on me. She went back to college when she was in her 30s, became a teacher and taught 7th Grade English for over 25 years. She loved unconditionally, and always had a smile on her face. She took care of my Dad for all of the 65 years they were together, until she died in 2015. I miss her daily.

My Oma! She was such an amazing woman and lived a full and rich life. She immigrated from Germany when she was just a teen all by herself, met her husband and made a family, and owned her own business. She is overcame great odds and made a successful life for herself. She taught me that you never take the easy way out and that tough work is what it takes.

My grandma for instilling love, values, morals and much more into the woman I proudly call my mama. Those traits just dwindled down the gene line for five generations now and hopefully they'll continue for many generations to come!!💜

My mom inspired me in so many ways - where do I start? She was an inspirational mom who worked 50-60 hours a week as an Administrative Asst to a demanding boss for over 20 years. She was amazing, she not only worked her entire life, but instilled fundamental work ethic in me from a very young age. She had the best sense of humor and was a magnet to the neighborhood and to all of my friends who loved hanging out at our house. She was a fantastic cook and taught all three of us kids to roast, sautee, bake, fry, simmer and grill ~ her kitchen was the heart of our home. And most of all, she was a caring, sharing person who was selfless and never judged. She was my true inspriration for all things going forward into my future as a woman and I miss her very much.

The woman who inspired me most is my 80 year old mom. She raised 4 kids alone from the time we were 12, 11, 10 and 9 when my dad left her. He had relocated us to Florida and then left their marriage. She had been a stay at home mom. She had to learn how to drive a car and had to seek employment. She got a job at the local hospital cleaning incubators and worked her way up the ladder with just her high school diploma. She was a great provider and I think her 4 kids turned out to be OK. She worked at the hospital for 43 years until she retired in 2014 at the age of 75.
