At SheSpeaks, we've been inspired by so many women, both those we know personally and those we've never met. Here are just a few of them:
The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou
Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie
She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa
When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan
Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all. - Carol

My mom is my inspiration.
My ,other has always been my inspiration. She was an extremely young single mom and has always been that, my mother. I had my first child at 7 years older than my mom was when she had me. I always knew she was strong but I was made more aware of her awesomeness when I had my own child and thought of how very young she was when she had me. It was then that I realized that, I just always saw her as my grown up mom.
MY MOM
My mom inspires me. At age 67 she still works hard for herself and makes sure everyone around her has what they need and are happy.
I inspired myself. No one was there for me but me.
My mom has been my biggest inspiration my whole life because she's tough, both mentally and physically, but she simultaneously shows her love for her family constantly in a variety of ways. She's instilled in me the importance of putting family first and the importance of family traditions. I try to be just like her
My friend Ricki Hipwell inspires me to always look on the bright side and stay strong. As a young Mother of an adorable Toddler who suffers from Crohn's Disease,Ricki always strives to do her best and take care of her family. If you're reading this Ricki, you're a beautiful person and always make me smile.
My grandmother who taught me to manage my money and that women can control the family's finances.
My mom inspired me in many ways; she was always sweet & kind no matter the circumstance. She taught me when to speak plus when to hold back the comments when not appropriate. She also taught me how to not give up when life got rough.
My mother played a big part in my life in her short life. Then I met my best friend who is quite a bit older than myself has played a big part in my life. She has pushed me to try and do different things that I would be afraid to try. She always give me the best advice with all my problems. I don't know of any type of person who would take time out of their day to help me with life struggles. She is like a second mom, sister, aunt, and most of all my best friend.
My mom and grandma inspired me to be strong.
My mom is and always will be my biggest inspiration.
