Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 girls have missed school because they can’t afford period protection? It’s not just school they miss. It also means missing out on activities they love, like sports practices, drama club, or student council.
At puberty, girls’ confidence plummets, and having to miss activities because of lack of access to period products only makes this drop in confidence worse. Missing out can limit a girl’s potential and opportunities far beyond puberty.
We’re so excited to support Always & Walmart's Live #LikeAGirl campaign to spread the word about this important issue as they work to #EndPeriodPoverty. Always and Walmart are donating a year’s supply of period products to 50 teams in 50 states, so girls in need don’t have to miss out on the activities they love because they don’t have access to period protection.

thanks for the info. THIS makes me so happy!
I think that Walmart is doing a great job!
It's good to see that these girls can get help with this problem.
Wow...very powerful. We all need to come together and help one another.
This never occurred to me as I was always supplied with what was needed by my parents or myself. We weren't rich by any means but we had what we needed. Thanks for sharing and bringing this issue to light!
You learn something new everyday. This breaks my heart, but I'm thankful for awareness and for Walmart assisting these beautiful ladies.
AWESOME!!!
AWESOME!!!
Wonderful effort!
always knew walmart had heart
We've come a long way, but there's still a ways to go!
This promotion is remarkable. I, along with a lot of other people were clueless to this problem. I truly hope this becomes something that a lot of other companies will pick up on.
Great initiative, so sad to hear that some of the basic needs go unmet.
Great way to educate all females.
I remember all too well the teen years in this dept. for many of the girls I knew. ...many shoplifted their products because of no money or too embarrassed to ask for them. I was lucky my mom had a medical background and volunteered at a low income clinic, she'd bring me to work, taught me early. As an adult I also worked for Habitat helping with the hurricanes/tornadoes, I thought to put feminine products in all the bags at the food bank... never had so many tears and whispers of thanks (they said they were too embarrassed to ask).
