The days are shorter and pumpkin spice is everywhere, which means fall has arrived. And with that, the new TV season. This year, there's another long list of dramas, comedies and procedurals, but we've narrowed it down to the top shows that everyone will be talking about.
Which shows are you excited to watch? Tell us below for a chance to win a 6-month subscription to Amazon Prime!
Anyone else want more Amy Poehler in their lives? Well, this new comedy based off Orli Auslander’s book, I feed Bad: All Day. Every Day. About Everything, is the perfect show for you. The story revolves around a mother, wife, friend, boss, and daughter who often feels bad about the basic problems life throws her way. It’s all about being OK with the fact that you’re not OK – and there’s always some fun in that.
People are calling it the This Is Us of 2018, but will it live up the hype? It’s definitely touching and moving enough. The new drama begins with the unexpected death of one member of a group of friends from Boston. It then follows the remaining friends through life’s highs and lows - from marriages, kids, relationships, and addictions - as they now try to dig deeper into their lives.
It's been twenty years since this show ended, but the entire cast has returned. The original show had it's share of political publicity (Dan Quayle!) and it's expected to tackle modern-day news once again. It will be interesting to see how just how controversial it will be, and if it will succeed.
If you like creepy and weird, this is the show to watch. Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are two patients in a pharmaceutical trial that goes strangely wrong. Just like other Netflix shows, this one seems addictive from the moment you turn it on.
With the abrupt cancellation of Roseanne last season, this may be one of the most-talked about new shows this year. It's still not clear how they will explain Roseanne's departure, or what the new story-line will be, but we do now that many people will be tuning in to find out.
Saturday Night Live alums Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen play a married couple with the most routine, unpredictable life. Until something unpredictable changes that. Though the topic seems serious, this show is actually a comedy that will make you laugh at how boring it can be to get through every day.
When Montego Air Flight 828 lands after much turbulence, its passengers and crew are relieved, but the rest of the world has aged five years. Families and friends have mourned their loss, though is this life’s way of giving them a second chance? As people start to get back on their feet and things become clearer, a deeper mystery unfolds.
From Law & Order’s creator Dick Wolf, we get a new procedural show that delves into the inner-workings of New York City’s Federal Bureau of Investigation. Missy Peregrym plays the show’s female lead, Maggie Bell, who engages immediately and commits deeply to the people she works with and protects. Just like her bosses and peers agree that Maggie is marked for success, we believe this show will follow in the successful footsteps of Wolf’s many dramas.
