The perfect meal to warm you up in fall is a hearty bowl of soup. And many soups are quick to make. Take, for example, this Cheesy Vegetable Chowder submitted to our website by MyLittlePrincessK. It takes just 15 minutes to prep and is a complete all-in-one meal. This one is vegetarian, but feel free to add meat to it. Tip: buy a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store and it will take no extra time to add to the chowder.
When you are busy with activities, one-pot meals are the way to go. It's less time cooking -- and less time washing! Cooking in one-pot does not have to be boring. You can make all sorts of casseroles and stews. Or try this lamb skillet dinner from Hywelda9. With just 10 minutes of prep time, it's an easy meal that is sure to cheer you up this fall.
Another great option is to use a slow cooker to prepare dinner in advance. There are countless meal options you can put together in the morning, and it will be done at dinnertime. If you want chicken, try prepping the taco meat in the slow cooker, like dreampeddler does. All that's left to do at the end of the day is to heat up some tacos. Add whatever toppings you can grab from your fridge. Or for a one-pot slow cooker meal, try this beef stew from emimorgan, where your complete dinner is ready to eat.
Another stick-to-your bones meal that screams fall is chili. And because you can make chili so many different ways, you can serve it often without getting bored. If you want to try something other than the standard ground beef or turkey, check out kcchiefs's sweet potato chili, which is sweet, spicy and delicious! Make it in the slow cooker and dinner will be ready when you are.

I recently got a pressure cooker. The best is chicken, cut up , a bag of twirled noodles, broth to cover and a bag of frozen veggies on top. 8 minutes. Vent and open, stir in a jar of Alfredo sauce. DELICIOUS!
