Young athletes today might not be elite athletes (yet), but they love to play sports. But today, they might feel like nobodies, with big dreams of being somebodies. POWERADE believes that with the right motivation these everyday athletes can realize their potential and one day be the athletes that they look up to. POWERADE is celebrating this potential in the “Just A Kid” campaign. We want to hear about how you support young athletes and the story behind what helped him or her reach their full potential.

My nephew just loves soccer! Its so hard to get him back indoors when its really hot outside. He'd live at a soccer field if we let him!
My little karate kid would be so honored to win this!
I support my younger son with t ball/baseball. He has been doing it for two years now. He loves to play.
My grandsons are greatly impacted. They are kind of both couch potatoes. The eldest one loves to golf and the little one is now advancing in Taekwondo. He is even now been accepted into the leader program, he is 10. So it doesn't have to be a traditional sport, just a sport that the child loves to do!
When I shop at walmart to get the best price for powerade, I can feel like a kid again! One who is really from NY!
My middle son is super into weight training and we just found out his school next year will be offering that as a class.
Novak Djokovic
Anyone who knows me would call me a Kid At Heart (not from NY, though.)
My niece Emily is autistic, and she has been positively impacted by swimming. She is a high school student, and high school can be tough. When she gets in that water though, it is the happiest I have ever seen her! She could spend hours swimming! I love to see her in her element.
My husband, works for our (deputy) county and (military) country, is an incredible motivater to our 3 sons. He has kept them in martial arts for years and for the past 4 years they have done very well at jiu jitsu. They win most of their matches. They are healthier by far than my husband and I were growing up. Because they have great skill and strength they also have great confidence. They have been taught amazing values by Mitch Coats, their coach, and they get good grades in school. Ethan is President of the Teacher's quorum, Conner just lettered in ski team, Logan is a natural at any sport I do believe. Ethan and Logan have a jits tournament in April. They will do well. Conner is their sparring buddy but chose snow skiing as his passion since he absolutely loves the snow. All 3 are great examples of true and healthy athletes.
I am an athlete. I may "only" walk, but I walk every day for at least 30 minutes, but most days I walk 4 miles. EVERY DAY. This show determination, loyalty, commitment, and strength!
I am the mom of three boys who have been positively impacted by sports. Mostly wrestling. I am a wrestling mom who also supports other young men (and women) who show to meets without a parent. Wrestling is tough because of the making weight and the multiple matches in a day. But it makes boys into fabulous men, who have discipline and know how to support the team as well as achieve individually.
My son who has PDD has been on a Saturday morning youth bowling league for several years. I support by attending every Saturday to cheer him and all the others on. We do fundraisers to be able to go to atleast 2 tournaments a year. This year we have 4 (have already done 3 with the last one STATE coming up on April 9 &10). When we spend money at the tournaments we also support others.
My children love soccer
would love to win
