Did you forget that you were going to a party? Don’t have time to really shop? Here are our favorite last minute gifts and an exclusive peek and giveaway for a new type of gift card launching in stores this week.
1) Flowers- interesting fresh cut arrangements are widely available to pick up on your way to the event. Flowers smell wonderful and brighten up any room but the best part is the tiny card attached to the bouquet. Just because it’s a small card doesn’t mean your message has to be small on sentiment!
2) Wine- The traditional gift to give the host of a party doesn’t mean it has to be boring. When picking up a bottle last minute either grab a type of wine you know the host loves and say you got it for just that reason, or grab something new and exciting. Either way the guests at the party will appreciate your present.
3) Bath sets- So many different retailers carry a variety of bath products arranged in sets just for this reason. These make fantastic gifts if they are last minute or not. More bath products are just more reason to pamper yourself.
4) Gift cards- A perfect last minute gift. With the variety of service now available with gift cards, you are not limited in what you can give - dinners, movie nights, groceries, music etc… the possibilities are endless.

I would love a gift certificate so I could pick my own! My newest fave is Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. It's book 2 in the trilogy. I can't wait for the 3rd to come out!
A favorite book gift of mine is Oh the Places You'll Go by Dr. Suess, great for many occasions and ages.
Everyone should read The Book Thief! Awesome!
Can't wait to check this out! I would get the Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest series - haven't read that one yet
My favorite book to give as a gift is Diana Gabaldon's Outlander.
I've been contemplating reading 50 Shades of Grey. I'd be nice to read it on a brand new Kindle!
The Chrinicles of Narnia. I think it's a great gift and it something that my giftee will know was from me.
I want to get dr oz after 40 book
I would love to be gifted the hardcover edition of Alice in Wonderland, it's such a work of art.
50 Shades of Grey sounds like a great book to give..or receive!
One of my favorites is "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein
I love to give the classics, a great poetry book, or inspirational quote books. Unless I know that my hostess is reading a series at the time or is really looking at a book. Then of course, it would be that specific book. But if I do not know my hostess at all. I will bring wine appropriate for the meal if I know what we are having or flowers are always great.
Wine is probably one of the best ideas, breaking bread and sharing wine during a meal is always lovely. I don't share the same interest in books as my friends have. I love reading mysteries and novels, while my friends love to read romance and suspense...I wouldn't know where to start!!!
My favorite book to give would be 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy or the Hunger Games Trilogy ! Both are excellent reads!!
I love to give GoodNight Moon to new parents.
