I used to make jewelry as a teenager but as I got older, life got in the way and I kind of forgot about it for many years. Recently, I've been going through a hard time and saw an article online about creative expression and how it can help you manage stress. I thought back to my jewelry-making days and decided to take it up again. I've since created some really gorgeous pieces that I am really proud of! I very much enjoy choosing the different beads and elements that will go into my creations. This creative process really centers me and satisfies the need for beauty and order in my life.

Yesterday I baked some brownies for my aunt in a stoneware bar pan I purchased at a thrift shop. I toasted and chopped some walnuts and also added a lot of peanut butter M&M's. I served some after supper with some homemade dark chocolate sorbet. She told me that every batch of brownies I make becomes her new favorite. She came out today and had another one with a scoop of Moose Tracks ice cream.
