Do you watch football every Thanksgiving? Does an elf sit on your shelf before Christmas? Or do you spin a dreidel on Chanukah? We all have our traditions to personalize the holidays and make them feel special.
But some traditions are more common than others. So we want to know... what holiday traditions do you follow each year? Tell us to win a $50 Etsy gift card and a Thanksgiving Thankful Tree Kit!
To get you started, here are some of the non-traditional traditions SheSpeaks staff members celebrate during the holidays:
We do a Thanksgiving Tree every year. Everyone gets leaves and they write what they are thankful for and then we hang them from branches that we collect together. It's very sweet. - Aliza Enter below to win your own Thanksgiving Thankful Tree Kit, plus a $50 Etsy gift card!
Each kid gets a new ornament for our Christmas tree every year. We buy it from a store that has tons of ornaments - they even write their name and year on it. My kids are now 21 and 16 so we have tons of them, everything from soccer, gymnastics and baseball to graduations and driving. - Missy
Instead of gifts every night for Chanukah, we spend some nights doing activities with the kids, usually involving food and a giant mess. We've tried making sushi (a sticky-rice mess), fondue (a chocolate mess) and pasta (the biggest mess of all - flour was everywhere!) - Susan
We make homemade pizza on Christmas Eve, for every year of my life I can remember except one! We even make the crust from scratch and everyone picks their own toppings. Even my teenage son calls it "the best tradition ever." - Carol
My New Year's Eve tradition is to make a fancy dinner at home and skip the crowds. In addition to getting some decadent food, we try a new signature cocktail, candles & mood music so we can feel like we've transformed our house into a swanky restaurant. - Emily

Open presents with the little ones then we eat a bunch of food while listening to Christmas music then we drive around to show then the big beautiful lights
A holiday tradition is phone calls from the Midwest to our West coast relatives. We sip an adult beverage & send cheers to each other during our long phone calls.
We put our tree up after thanksgiving dinner. It's great to play holiday music and have all the aunts and uncles and grands to help out.
I love baking cookies, cheesecake and cakes for the holidays.
Since getting divorced, it is just my son and I. We are far away from my family so we had to find OUR type of NEW happiness and fun. We will be making chocolate chip banana bread again followed by an all day marathon of Pokemon Go!
I love visiting the different Disney resorts to check out their incredible decorations and just soak it all up!
During the Christmas season I enjoy driving around and looking at Christmas lights while playing my Charlie Brown Christmas cd and drinking hot cocoa.
Watching Christmas movies Christmas Eve until we all are too tired to keep our eyes open a second longer.
I love setting up the tree with my mom!
My husband has read Twas the Night Before Christmas to our kids every Christmas Eve since their first year while I videotape it.
Ever year the entire family(aunts, uncles, cousins) get together for one big Christmas party. Each household brings a meal, drink and dessert and a present for their kids. We eat and play games when it gets late we gather all the kids in a circle and read the night before Christmas. Then we have a visit from Santa where the kids open their gifts. Then the adults play dirty Santa. Which is where we sit in a circle and one by one chose a gift either from the pile or you can steal one from another player.
we go to the local Christmas stroll every year and love it!
Cookies for Santa with the kiddos
We just started tis tradition this year. After all the fine dining is done and after some digestion, we go to different places and either hunt Pokemon or The Walking Dead using the apps we get from playstore. The losers do dishes.
We binge a show on Netflix while the food is cooking.
