Perfect Cinnamon Rolls ( No Yeast Recipe)

Makes: 12 Each

Description: These Cinnamon Rolls are so easy to make. Requires no yeast but still get to be good size. Perfect for weekend breakfast or anytime.

2 - 1/2 Cups  All-Purpose Flour
2 Tablespoons  Sugar
2 Teaspoons  Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon  Salt
1/4 Cup  Cold Butter (for buns)
1 1/4 Cup  Milk (1 cup for buns, 1/4 cup for icing)
1/3 Cup  Warm/melted butter (for filling)
2/3 Cup  Packed Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons  Ground Cinnamon
4 Cups  Powdered Sugar
2 Teaspoons  Vanilla Extract ( or Lemon or Orange Extract)

Instructions: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Stir in 1 cup of milk (in 3 equal amounts) stir until mixture forms a ball. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface - roll into a square.

Spread the 1/3 C. Butter over the rolled out dough. Combine Brown Sugar and Cinnamon and sprinkle over the Butter. Cut into 12 even slices - place cut side up in greased pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Mix together powdered sugar and enough milk to achieve a spreading consistency. Add extract of your choice. Spread over still warm buns.
