For those who needed some new music for that long drive, Chance the Rapper was there to accomodate. The musical artist teamed up with Lyft to offer ride share user’s a free download of his new album, The Big Day, last weekend. Lyft drivers also got complimentary downloads of the new album, so don’t be surprised if you start hearing more of Chance’s music on the daily commute.

Lyft took to their blog last weekend to spread the word about the free music offer. They wrote, “Today, and throughout this weekend, every Lyft ride is a Chance the Rapper release-party ride. The Chicago rapper and social activist’s much-anticipated new album ‘The Big Day’ drops today — and is exclusively available to Lyft riders and drivers to download for free.”

This isn’t the first time Chance has partenered with Lyft. Last fall, he went undercover as a Lyft driver to help spread the word about his public school charity, CPS: The New Chance Fund. Chance the Rapper drove around unsuspecting fans on the streets of Chicago before revealing who he really is at the end of the Lyft trip. During the rides he talked about hip hop and the need to give back to his native Chicago public schools.

Spreading the word and his music in a unique way is nothing new for Chance the Rapper. In fact, he has released all of his previous mixtapes through streaming services and was the first musician to ever receive a Grammy without selling an actual physical album. He has become known as an artist that wants all to have access to music. He says, “I want as many people as possible to have access to my music.”

Are you a Chance the Rapper fan?
