I just purchased this last week and I've made several different things in it already. The adjustable height keeps from smashing your sandwich unless you want it pressed. It also makes it very easy to make melted cheese sandwiches open faced, which was a favorite of our families growing up. It's VERY easy to clean which is also a favorite feature for me as a mother of three kids.

This panini press is wonderful for crisp crunchy paninis. It can easily make two at a time, and has an easy-to-adjust height to fit to the size of the sandwich. It has a grease catcher that detaches from the grill, so it's easy to clean. However, it doesn't always stay attached to the grill, and grease will run onto the counter if you don't attach it well. The grill is easy to clean, easy to use. Gets very hot (like a waffle iron), so I don't recommend it for small children.
