Do you prefer shopping in stores (vs. online) for the holidays? If so, what is the biggest reason?

There is a lot of excitement in stores during the holidays, and it's fun to get caught up in the holiday spirit.  There are always good deals to find, and you can see exactly what you're getting before you buy it.  What do you love about shopping in stores during the holidays?

Yes, I like the excitement of holiday shopping in stores (24.2%)

Yes, because I don't like to pay shipping costs online (12.2%)

    100% of my 2008 Christmas shopping was done through Amazon.com

    I would rather drive to the store than have to pay shipping for just about anything!

    So many places offer free shipping though - I just enjoy being in the store atmosphere with the music playing and focusing on what that special person would want for the holidays!

    You can get much better deals online and sometimes without shipping charges. Even with shipping charge it is much cheaper online than in store, depends what you are looking for.

    Sometmes, I really do not like paying the shipping cost, but lately most online stores have been offering reduce shipping or free shipping around the holidays.

    you can get better deals online yes but sometimes i tend to feel like i didn't even purchase any thing if i don't physically go to a store

    shopping in the stores gets me in the holiday mood. there's nothing like jumping in the car on the first snowfall and going to the mall to shop for those i love.

    I love holiday shopping it gives quality time to find that something special,then I can do comparison shopping in store and online for best deals.

    I'm more of a 50/50 person. I like to do both. I like the convenience of shopping online, without the hassles of the crowds, finding a parking spot and standing in long lines. But, I won't buy anything online if I can't get it with free shipping. On the other hand, I also like to do a little shopping in the stores, just to get myself in the holiday mood!
