We Secretly Want More Than The Salad
Conductor of the study, Meredith Young, saw again and again that the women who dined with men consumed far fewer calories than the women who dined with other women. Women who dined in mixed groups with both men and women took in fewer calories as well. Interestingly, the groups with the higher levels of men had women who chose the food lowest in calories for their meal.

Who's the Better Boss?
What Eagley has found out through studies and research is that women bosses are less "bossy" and tend to use a more collaborative and democratic method. Eagley also said, "compared with men, women use a more positive approach by encouraging and urging others rather than a negative approach of scolding and reprimanding them."

House Swapping Saves
The idea that one man's shack is another man's castle could certainly apply here. Kathleen Dwyer, a home exchanger for six years, reported to Time magazine about a swap experience she had when she traded her one bedroom Manhattan apartment with a view of the alley for an upscale California home on a lagoon with a view of the ocean.

Fertility After Fifty?
Bousada was 66 years old when she gave birth to the twins in Spain after lying about her age (saying she was 55) in order to undergo in vitro fertilization. Her death and subsequent motherless toddlers that she left behind has struck a cord with the media leaving many to question how old is too old to have a baby and whether fertility clinics should have stricter guidelines when conducting in vitro fertilization.

A Little Of Your Time For A Big Cause
The organization is participating in something called a 10,000 in 10-Day Research Challenge that is sponsored by Hershey. If Soaringwords can get 10,000 people to donate just 15 minutes of their time by completing a survey, Hershey's has agreed to give a $35,000 grant to the organization.

How Old Is Too Old To Drive?
Peter Kissinger, president of AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, reported to USA Today that currently 15% of all drivers in the U.S. are 65 and older, but by 2025 approximately one quarter of all drivers will be over 65. Kissinger went on to say, "I really don't think our society is ready for that. We are not ready with respect to the kinds of issues older drivers face."

Palin Accepts Letterman's Latest Apology
The National Organization for Women (NOW) has been instrumental in drawing attention to the dangers Letterman's remarks pose to women. Letterman joked on his show that Gov. Palin's daughter "was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez" during a recent trip to a New York baseball game and that Gov. Palin had a hard time "keeping Elliot Spitzer away from her daughter."
