Well I home school and keeping my child on a scedual and sticking to it is always best. Also having a reward "treasure chest " (all things from the dollar store) so she has something to look forward to at the end of a hard work day.

I have three children so back to school was always crazy my trick was to buy all the things I knew they would need such as paper, pens, pencils, folders during the summer months. So when the time came I only had to buy certain things.

My best tip is getting everything ready in the bookbags the night before, because its hectic with the kids in the a.m.!

Organization and preparedness are key to a smooth transition back to school.Get as much done the night before as possible and keep things in their designated places.
Summer is for staying up late and sleeping in. Well, about 2 weeks before school starts we start going to bed earlier; about 10 minutes each day. Kids bed time is 10:30pm, they're older and like to watch the weather. Stopping use of devices an hour before bed, to rest our eyes properly. Just so that once school does start there will be less of a fight during bed time.
Start shopping early. Right now pick up the essential for next year some back to school stores are already at 70% off
Don't ever forget your assignments and activities. Use your calendar on your phone and also write in your planner (and review it regularly).
Always, always, get everything ready before going to sleep. Backpack, clothes, snacks, etc.
I try to make time for each child each day to stay up to date on their needs, thoughts, and what is happening next. We also keep a calendar of events and share with our whole family so everyone is aware of the dates.
We pack up everything the night before.
Always lay out your clothes the night before so you can change quickly.
Just get everything prepared and ready to go the night before and it is all smooth sailing! Well at least that is what I tell myself!
