Makes: 3 cups
Description: This is the best onion dip ever! You won't want to buy store made again.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp
canola or vegetable oil
1 tbsp
butter or margerine
2
Vidalia onions-sliced into thin rings
2
shallots-sliced into rings
1 cup
mayo
1 tsp
celery salt
1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp of each
salt & pepper
Instructions:
In a large saute pan over low heat, add oil and butter. When butter is melted, add onions and saute, stirring occasionally until golden brown and caramelized, about 35 minutes. Add shallots and saute for 15 minutes more until onions and shallots are dark brown. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 to 6 minutes, then chop into 1/4-inch pieces. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, celery salt, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Fold in onion mixture. Chill at least 1 hour or overnight, prior to serving.

It looks like it would be really good, but you forgot to add sour cream to the ingredients list. How much sour cream do you need to make this? Or are we just supposed to guess? I am assuming it's supposed to be 16 oz. But can you please clarify?
A great idea for a lunch in less than thirty minutes, and super tasty!
